Site update underway
by Jason ~ March 28th, 2008. Filed under: Uncategorized.Aporia Cross-Media Entertainment’s website is undergoing a moderate update to the appearance and layout of the site. There are two reasons for this, the first is connected to the upcoming launch of the Aporia Agathon Project which has been bringing a number of new visitors to the website and we want to make sure we accommodate them with a good looking and easy to browse interface. The second reason will be mentioned in the upcoming week(s).
We have received a ton of feedback from all of you who are looking forward to this game, and I personally apologize for not having responded recently to many of those e-mails. I will be responding to them over this weekend as I work on the site update (during short breaks).
It looks as if at least two of the contributors toward the video challenge have received their prizes. Michael Anderson made a note regarding the receipt of his prize over at ARGN. Package tracking shows one other contributor received her mask, but no word regarding it has appeared over at unfiction. The fourth package was sent to Australia and may take some more time to get there, hopefully it will arrive soon.
In regards to our website redesign, what can you expect?
*A cleaner layout without those gawdy adsense ads
*A Youtube aggregator section for easy access to our videos
(note: game related videos will not be attached here)
*Integration of the main site (
Aporiacme.com) with the wordpress layout
*A google docs survey form for collection of potential player mailing addresses
*Cleaning up the appearance of our feedback/contact form
Other items that are in the pipeline:
*A customer/potential customer interface section
*Player profiles (conducted on occassion by interviewing players)
*Various other upgrades
Due to the large amount of work being done on the Aporia Agathon Project, the above listed changes are fairly low priority and will be accomplished as time allows. We will be uploading the layout as we’re working on it and will test it out occasionally so you may or may not see a site change at various times throughout the day. We wanted to let everyone know about the update because you may see a change for a few moments throughout the day on various days until we complete the update.

Question: I filled out the player survey on the old site, do I need to fill out a new one for the new site or does it carry over?

You do not have to fill it out for the new site…
however, the questions for the new layout are more detailed and automatically put themselves into a spreadsheet for me. All of the information I had previously will be transferred to this new spreadsheet starting next week. It would be helpful to do it again, but you do not have to
