We’re looking for players who would be interested in sitting down with the staff for the Aporia Agathon project and asking us a few questions you and the community may have for us. Do you want a chance to be that player that interviews us and have that interview posted under our blog?
You can ask us anything you want about the game, our staff members’ experiences working with each other, or whatever else you want. We do reserve the right to avoid answering any questions that would give away too much in regards to the game itself.
Send us an e-mail with 5 sample questions that you would like us to answer. We’ll select a few questions from each e-mail to answer, and one person will be selected to sit down with myself and a few of the staff members.
We did post this in an earlier blog with a deadline for this Wednesday, but due to our staff members’ schedules we have extended the deadline for submitting questions to the 22nd of April. Thanks!

Recently on the unforums message boards, a user wrote a
post regarding the Aporia Agathon Project and the potential budget behind the project in regards to a thread entitled: “Making a profitable ARG.”
Those of us who are working on Aporia Agathon had a little chuckle when we read it, but it did make us appreciate the respect the community has for our work. The comment mentioned our ability to hire 20 people with our financial backing. Unfortunately for Aporia Agathon, we cannot say that this is true. We can, however, say that we have plenty of experienced staff members working on the project that helps stretch the dollar out a good bit.

Pretty much as soon as we finished updating the layout for the site, WordPress released a new version (2.5). This update will be a bit slower than the last update as we’re knocking out a lot of content for the Aporia Agathon Project in the upcoming weeks. We may have to re-adjust the layout and plugins (the youtube gadget to the right) due to the updates in 2.5. So if you see us down for a little while, please be patient.
Thanks!
P.S. Want a chance to interview us for our blog? Asking a few of us some questions about our experiences working together on the upcoming game, or various questions about the game itself that don’t include stuff that would give away the story?
Send us an e-mail with 5 sample questions that you would like us to answer. We’ll select a few questions from each e-mail to answer, and one person will be selected to sit down with myself and a few of the staff members. Please submit your questions by Wednesday the 16th of April -Jason

Last week I had my first sit-down with one of the players who registered to receive information for the upcoming Aporia Agathon Project. The reason we do this is to help introduce the player to the community of players who will likely be playing the game. The staff enjoys learning about the players as well; perhaps we’ll do this with some of the staff members in the future.
In today’s player profile I am sitting down with Clarissa. She’ll be asked many of the same questions Josh was asked last week. I hope you enjoy our conversation

Recently we had a
challenge on youtube which asked for players to put together video responses to see what people thought our upcoming game was going to be about. Those who submitted videos did an amazing job, but not all of them had been familiar with video creation and the ease of video creation until it was explained to them. Currently the majority of internet users have Windows based PCs and many of those don’t realize they have a really good and free program on their computer for making movies:
Windows Movie Maker. I’m not personally familiar with Macs, but I do know quite a few mac users and each of them are very familiar with the features offered by their macs - so for now we’ll just focus on WMM.
So let’s go over a few things to show you how simple it is to create a decent video.

I was introduced into the genre back in 2006 playing a much maligned game that promoted itself by calling upon the name of one of the most famous ARGs to date. This game was Ilovebees2, and while it wasn’t a great game it did give me the desire to discover more about the genre and the opportunity to meet some great people. Josh is one of those people, and someone who I really enjoy communicating with between games (someday I’ll have to pull him behind the curtain).
In today’s player profile, I sit down with Josh and ask him a few questions about life and gaming. The player profiles are a means of allowing us to interact with the players and let the players get to know a little bit more about the people they’ll soon be in a tight community with (if they aren’t already).
So if you’re interested in reading about our little sit-down, click below.

So yes, if you didn’t read the whole article yesterday I got a little in the spirit for April Fool’s day. It’s such a fun time, maybe next year we’ll be able to pull off something a little more fun and elaborate.
Are you wanting to get stuff from us? If you sign-up through the
Player Info Survey, we’ll make sure we get some stuff off to you in the future. Most everyone who sign-up will receive launch materials related to the Aporia Agathon Project, and everyone over time will get something or another from us. We won’t share your information with anyone, but we would like to send you stuff for future games as well.

Due to various circumstances, we regret to inform you that the production of the Aporia Agathon Project (the working name for S_____________________y) has come to an unfortunate close. We apologize for building the game up only to let our audience down.
We will be releasing a press kit in the upcoming weeks regarding the failure with the development of this game. Until that time, for more information regarding this situation please continue reading the blog.
